The Monacrh butterfly is in a 75% survival decline throughout Hawai`i.
In the wild, the birds continue to wipe out most of the baby caterpillars, from one end of the hawaiian chain to the other. Invasive lizards, ants and wasp predators seem to show up daily to feast on the eggs. And, if that isn't enough, the overuse of pesticides island-wide, has damaged the Monarch's immune system, making them unable to produce healthy keikis. Our mission is to preserve this delicate butterfly and continue
to protect these sacred insects!
A percentage of our sales goes to replanting
trees for hawaii's butterflies...
But, if you'd like to donate crown flower or Koa trees,
We'll name it after your family name!(last name)
in honor of your gracious gift!
All plants will be planted in Kaanapali Hawaii.
We are pleased to announce our first tree (crown flower) planting was a great success.
OCT. 2009 two trees were planted
in Honor of my grandparents that have passed from
Pancreatic Cancer early this year.
